Apart from this spicy food, that consist of a large amount of garlic or onion also causes bad breath. Although, you cannot give up eating spicy food, you can go ahead and brush or gargle with a mouth wash.

A mouth wash can go a long way in preventing bad breath. However, it is recommended that you use a fluoride mouth wash and avoid those that contain alcohol. However, you should remember, that a mouth wash will not clean your gums for you. Thus, do not use a mouth wash a substitute for brushing or flossing your teeth.

Chew Gum that is Sugar Free:

Most of us like to chew gums after meals, because they are refreshing and help avoid bad breath that might result because of the meal. Besides, chewing gum is also a good idea as it helps stimulate the flow of saliva in your mouth. However, it is best to chew gum that does not contain sugar, as the sugar will only stimulate bacterial action that further results in bad breath. Besides, it has been observed that sugar free chewing gums have a lasting effect and they last longer themselves.
